This is prime of all the times – 47.3 degrees that almost matches human sight. F0.95 means that this lens gathers more light on the sensor than there is. It really helps us see in the dark and work with shallow DOF. 4/3 is almost half the size of FF35mm – that helps to develop superfast and lightweight lenses for reasonable amount of money. This lenss is not cheap – 1050$ for preorder on ebay. But this is good start as an only lens for conceptual shooter.

Cosina has just joined the 4/3 market, but we can be sure they surprise us soon with other fantastic primes!

B&H promise to start shipping in December 2010  and accepts pre-orders for Panasonic AG-AF100. Price is 4.800 $ – affordable for professionals but a bit high shelf for those used to DSLR prices. If you compare to investing in DSLR – you don’t need external monitor, audio mixer or Eye View Finder – it’s all included!
