Philip Bloom has made this moody cine sketch with Panasonic AG-AF 100 pre-production model and we can make few important conclusions thanks to this video:
+) Video camera with high sensitivity(ISO 3200) and dynamic range. No rolling shutter effect, No alias and moire
– ) Bloom has tons of good glass to use with adapters on M4/3. As we can see and hear on his commentary track there is none fast wide angle to fit on 4/3 in shelves of Canon/Nikon users. So it means – more investments. Besides you need to mix different brand lenses to meet the needs of 4/3 sensor. This leads to visual cocktail.
B&H promise to start shipping in December 2010 and accepts pre-orders for Panasonic AG-AF100. Price is 4.800 $ – affordable for professionals but a bit high shelf for those used to DSLR prices. If you compare to investing in DSLR – you don’t need external monitor, audio mixer or Eye View Finder – it’s all included!
